On Sunday, September 23rd 2018 at 0854 hours the Winterset Police Department responded to a report of a male at the Madison County Hospital emergency room being treated for injuries from an alleged assault. Upon investigation the male reported he had been tied up and pistol whipped with a hand gun in an apartment in Winterset. Police executed a search warrant at 1019 North 8th Avenue, Apartment #17 and found evidence supporting the claim.
On 09-23-18 at approximately 1940 hours that evening, Dylan Shay Rudolf, 27, of Winterset, was taken into custody. He was arrested and found in possession of a hand gun. He was charged with: Willful Injury, False Imprisonment, possession of a firearm by a prohibited person (domestic assault), carrying weapons and aggravated assault.
He is being held in the Madison County Jail on a $15,000 cash or surety bond.
