Camping Season is April 1st through November 15th
(weather dependent).

Facilities include 40 sites with 50/30/15amp electric service, water, sewer hook-ups, fire rings, picnic tables, shower/restroom building, and 5 tent sites. Reservations can be made starting on the first Monday of the new year for the upcoming season. You may call the Winterset Parks and Recreation office to reserve your site over the phone at 515.462.3258 between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Reservations over the phone can be made day of visit, if sites are available.

Online Reservations

  • Minimum 2 days in advance, otherwise must call office during business hours to secure your reservation
  • If reserving a Friday or Saturday, you must reserve both days
  • Holiday will require a 3 night minimum reservation
  • Covered Bridge Festival weekend (2nd weekend in October) requires a minimum of 4 nights
  • First come first serve may be available unless reserved
  • Reservations can also be made by phone

Site Amenities

  • 40 RV sites with 15/30/50 amp service and shared water hook ups
  • Sites without sewer (dump station onsite) 1, 2, 3, 18-24, 39, 40
  • 5 tent sites (2 tents maximum per site) with shared electric
  • Level gravel RV sites
  • Picnic table at each site
  • Firepit with grill grate
  • Onsite firewood available for sale (please do not transport firewood from outside Madison County)
  • Historic City Park next to campground
  • Dog Park within walking distance to Campground (please call office for more information on requirements)

Rates

  • $22/Night for sites 1-40
  • $15/Night for Tent Sites T1-T15
    • Maximum of two (2) tents per site
    • Shared electric
  • $5 Reservation Fee
  • Long Term/Extended Stay Maximum stay is 30 days (in some cases may be extended)
    • $18 for 7 nights or more (must call office to reserve and determine availability)
  • Groups must reserve 6 or more sites – call office to make reservation
    • $20 per site
