The City of Winterset, Iowa (population 5190) is accepting applications for the position of full-time Police Officer. ILEA certification is preferred but not required. Non-ILEA certified applicants must meet the minimum ILEA hiring standards.
Our department offers 12 hour shifts with every other weekend off and take home cars. Starting salary for a non-certified officer is $43,180. ILEA Certified Officers range from $44,720 to $49,735 depending on experience. We also offer shift differential pay for the night shifts.
